"Landing early next year on French label Skylax Records is a neatly polished package from F.T.G & Myndrill as they revamp a classic track from the legendary Joy Division. The original “Love Will Tear Us Apart” has stood the test of time and now the Italian producers have crafted their own interpretation utilising elements from the original to breathe life into their modern twist. The EP also includes a thunderous techno remix from Luca Agnelli, nodding towards the rave sounds of the 90s.
The A side contains the title track, plus an instrumental version so you can choose between the two depending on the times of your set, and surroundings. The warping elements smother the chugging drums, as the famous vocals spiral around the body of the track allowing you to become totally entranced by the mind stretching track as a whole.
The explosive Luca Agnelli remix does not disappoint, huge kick drums thump throughout, teasing vocals from the original, adding a trippy element to the industrial energy we have all come to love from Agnelli over the years. Closing track “Moondog Vision” is a transcending and mysterious encounter, drifting with the emotional floating synths, as crisp hi-hats brush by, accompanied by a deep and warm bass.
